Managing Partner, CPA 

John Williamson, III is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and the managing partner at Evergreen Accounting and Tax Services, LLC. A graduate of Pike Central High School, John went on to earn a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of Pikeville (UPIKE) in 2008. During his time at UPIKE, John was also a dedicated member of the UPIKE Bears baseball team, balancing his passion for athletics with his academic pursuits.

Following his undergraduate studies, John initially pursued a career in the banking sector. However, his true calling emerged in public accounting, leading him to join the firm of Lynette Schindler, CPA, in 2009. John remained with the firm for nearly a decade, during which he honed his expertise and provided exceptional service to a diverse clientele. While working in public accounting, he furthered his education by earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from UPIKE in 2013. His commitment to professional excellence culminated in achieving his CPA designation in 2015.

In 2018, John transitioned into a leadership role in the private sector, accepting the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Wright Concrete and Construction, along with the Wright Family of Companies—one of the fastest-growing small businesses in Eastern Kentucky. He continues to serve as CFO, leveraging his financial acumen and strategic insights to drive growth and innovation within the Wright companies.

Despite his success in the corporate world, John’s passion for public accounting remained. This passion led him to the opportunity to become the managing partner at Evergreen Accounting and Tax Services, LLC. In this role, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, providing clients with high-quality financial guidance and personalized accounting services. His dedication to excellence, combined with his broad expertise in both public accounting and private industry, makes John a trusted advisor to businesses and individuals throughout the region.

In his private time, John enjoys spending quality time with his family, friends, and loved ones, appreciating the balance that these relationships bring to his life.

Ronnie Spence, originally from the Delbarton, WV area and a graduate of Burch High School, serves as a Partner at Evergreen Accounting & Tax Services. He focuses on individual and business tax minimization strategies, family and business planning, business formations, and strategic consulting. Ronnie brings over 20 years of experience as a Financial Advisor, offering unique insights into the intersection of investment and finance that enhance the firm's approach to accounting. His expertise allows Evergreen to provide clients with well-rounded guidance that integrates tax strategies with long-term financial planning.

In addition to his role at Evergreen, Ronnie is the founder and lead Financial Advisor of Cornerstone Investment Group. He established Cornerstone in 2009 to provide a local, independently owned alternative to large brokerage firms, delivering personalized financial guidance in investment, retirement, and estate planning. Ronnie earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Pikeville. His professional journey began with four years as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley, followed by four years at Wachovia Securities before transitioning to his independent practice.

Ronnie and his wife, Bridget, reside in Prestonsburg, KY, where they raise their three children, Katelyn, Kassidy, and Kameron. In addition to his professional commitments, Ronnie remains active in various civic activities and cherishes time spent with his family.
